Delicate lines of steel blue glass stringers arc over the white exterior of this deep kiln-formed glass vessel. Steel blue glass contains copper, and when fired to a specific temperature, the surface becomes nearly black in color. Created over six days, the piece is slumped in three steps in progressively deeper molds to achieve the final shape, and the top edge is coldworked to reveal the distinctive blue and white top edge. Each is unique and will vary.
