Valley View

"Valley View" was painted on-site looking south on the valley floor of the Uncompahgre River. It is a ranching area with many small homes and barns, new and old. This scene was painted at the start of autumn as the green fields turn to the more subtle golden hues. This was a partly cloudy day which adds to the drama of some sunlight on the land and the blue of the sky with the white shapes of the clouds.
