Top Hat Chitons

These pieces are press-molded and carved. Each piece is painted with multiple coats of black slip, then decorated using the sgrafitto technique, which involves carving through the slip, revealing the white clay body. There is no right way to display these pieces. It is dependent on your space and your imagination. Sold as a set of nine as shown. Individual pieces measure 10" x 4" x 4", 8" x 4" x 3.5", 5" x 3" x 2.5", and 3.5" x 2.5" x 2".
