The Great Wall Clock

This wall clock is created from a hand-hammered copper disk. It is adorned with 14 sterling silver individually cast figures who are busy exploring the perimeter of the clock. The ladder is fabricated from sterling silver. The decorations are brass and copper, the 12, 3, 6, and 9 numbers are stamped on brass with the other numbers represented by brass dots. A liquid sulfurated potash patina is applied to the entire piece. When that is dry, the piece is waxed to create a permanent finish. The silver figures are polished. This clock runs on a C cell battery quartz movement. The hands are handmade from copper and brass. A rim of copper hides the clock movement from side view.
