The artist loves beautiful colors and color relationships above all. Clarity and resolved composition are important to her, too. It is the thrill of potential in each new piece that keeps her exploring in the studio.

She creates abstract gouache paintings on Rives BFK printmaking paper. In each piece, different arrangements of colored blocks, ovals, and arcs create a feeling of ordered transcendence. These images are anti-chaos, infused with luxuriant color and sublime, soft texture.

She applies the paint with a sable brush, achieving beautiful translucency and depth of color. The painting grows with a build up of shapes and complex color relationships. She uses a special blotting technique, dabbing the myriad hues to create delicate, textured surfaces.
