Resin Shimmy Long Necklace - Translucent Silver Gray

Part industrial salvage, part precious metal, this long necklace is made from a bucket of thin steel shims bought by the artist at a salvage yard. Each shim is coated on both sides with a thick layer of resin tinted with dyes and powdered pigments. The chain is a gunmetal toned steel. Clasps and findings are oxidized sterling silver.
