Pierced White Curvy Table Lamp

Inspired by midcentury modern design, the pierced ceramic table lamp is wheel-thrown and-hand pierced, and features a satin glaze. Small holes are created when the clay is still wet; each hole is then painstakingly enlarged and smoothed when the clay is dry. The black base is also wheel-thrown stoneware and is attached to the lamp. The interplay of light and shadow, color and form complement any urban, contemporary or transitional space.
