This new oil painting by Vermont artist Judy Hawkins is striking in composition and rich in color. "You Never Know What You'll Find in the Woods" was inspired by her discovery of a dead tree alive with rich green moss in the woods near her house. It was striking to her because of the opposite qualities of the surrounding trees and tangle of vines and branches. This original oil is painted on a gallery wrap canvas and is ready to hang. Sides are unpainted. An archival varnish was applied to protect the painting's vibrant colors.
