Asana

"Asana" is an experimental piece combining multiple-media techniques to arrive at a wall piece that is glass-like in appearance, yet suitable for commercial commissions. It is a visual reminder to breathe as we move through life's ups and downs. Both the neutral pallett and the airy abstraction evoke a feeling of calm. Breathe. The imagery is created with a combination of glass and digital rendering, then printed onto high-definition metal. To create this piece, the artist made several glass pieces, then isolated various shapes and textures. Next, she digitally imaged those glass aspects, then created a unique set of digital art brushes that were used to create this work. Finally, the rendered image was printed onto a high-gloss metal canvas. Overall, the process to create this artwork took several months. It is the digital cumulation of several pieces of handmade glassworks. The piece arrives ready to hang. There is a floating frame mounted onto the reverse that holds the artwork away from the wall.
