Hand-wrought 24-karat Italian gold leaf adorns hand-blackened sterling silver, drawing on the tradition of medieval altarpieces and the ancient practice of keum-boo. The luminous gold emerges from the darkened surface in the maker’s signature medieval finish, creating a rich interplay of light and shadow.
