The ruby is set in a 22 karat gold bezel, a stunning combination of ruby red and rich high karat yellow gold. It is paired with a vine printed pattern on a sterling silver band. The band is oxidized, then polished to bring out the highlights of the tendrils. For more unique detail, the artist has imprinted matching vines in fine silver on the back of the setting.
