Dancing with the Devil

In the "Darkest Before the Dawn" series of work, I'm exploring darkness and things that are hidden, obscured and invisible. I'm interested in the process of discovering and exposing secrets and lies. I use a number of different techniques to create this work, responding to each piece as it develops. I let the painting tell me what it needs next, and the pieces are created through the application of many layers of paint. The paintings are dark, but they are also lovely, revealing a subtle beauty to be found in the dark.
