Contemplating My Future Over Breakfast

This series of paintings began when the artist found a broken mirror. The resulting paintings are metaphors about all the broken things in our lives and what we create from the pieces. The mirror fragments served two additional purposes in the compositions, as reflective surfaces for elements that are not actually in the image, and as directional lines to lead the eye around the painting.

This watercolor painting is double matted with 3" off-white mats. Finished size is 25" x 27".
