The Story

Slab built stoneware. Additions to the clay include slips, kanthal wire, stoneware appendages, incised marks, ceramic stain, rust and rusted wire. The pieces are fired in an oxidation atmosphere, then backed on wood and wired to hang on a picture hook. Stated dimensions reference the spacing shown. The pieces can be purchased individually or as a group of nine as shown.
  • Ready to hang, wired
  • Unglazed finish
  • Black Square Grid: mostly unglazed with textured black glaze on squares on surface
  • Set of 9: eight of the component squares are unglazed. There is black glaze on the piece at bottom left
  • Rusted Rings, Rust Dashes: unglazed with a post-firing rust surface
  • Ceramic: fired at cone 6
  • Signed by the artist
