Falling Leaves Pot

This pot was thrown on the wheel with dark stoneware clay. The piece was trimmed, then carved with my "Leaf" pattern, and, lastly, the spaces between the leaves were pierced through. The grooves were glazed with a matte chartreuse glaze leaving the raised areas unglazed leaving the dark clay exposed. Finally, the pot was fired in an electric kiln to cone 5.
