The Story
This moon jar was thrown on the wheel with light stoneware clay. The pot was trimmed and then carved with my "Cityscape" pattern across the entire surface. The grooves were carefully glazed with a blue shino glaze, and then a light shino glaze was sprayed over the pot. Finally, the piece was fired in a gas kiln to cone 10 in a reduction atmosphere.
