This remarkable and vivid stoneware sculpture is truly one-of-a-kind. Hand-built piece-by-piece with the use of supporting armatures, it boasts a glaze of artist Daniel Slack's own formulation: a rich, flowing, microcrystalline matte, produced using raw metallic oxides like cobalt, copper, and chrome fired to a high temperature. Intended for displays indoors, it's signed on the front of the base.

- This flowing microcrystalline mat glaze is my original formulation. It's produced by the layering of a mat glaze and raw metallic oxides and then fired to 2200 degrees.
