Black and White Elongated Sphere

Blown glass vessel and glass stopper with attached bronze branch. Part of the Fissure series of vessels inspired by industrial landscapes. Intense, internal colors are partially exposed by scoring the more muted surface color while the glass is molten. After the vessel has cooled, a stopper is created out of a metallic oxide glass and a custom cast bronze branch is attached. Every piece is blown personally by the artist and has a unique surface pattern. Size will vary slightly. Bronze is hot wax sealed.
