Terra & Tide Triptych

This triptych captures the wonder of stargazing for the wall, in the form of an asterism: a prominent pattern of stars smaller than a constellation. Arranged in any configuration, this set of three brings the dynamic energy of the night sky indoors. To make each star, the artist kiln casts the glass into an unusual, otherworldly texture, then finishes it in a range of blue pigments, metallic foil, and an iridescent sheen that catches the light. Each triptych pairs one star roughly 10 inches in diameter with two roughly 7 inches across. They arrive wired on the reverse and ready to hang. No two triptychs are alike.
