Purple Gem

A beautiful display of glassblowing and coldworking, its rich colors blown into a light transparency, filled with solid glass, and shaped to a sphere. When each sphere is done cooling, artist Ben Silver cuts, carves, and polishes, revealing a myriad of visual effects in a dynamic piece that appears different from every angle. It rests in an artist-made steel base with a black powder-coated finish.
