Gossamer Kauri

Inspired by the mystique of ancient, monolithic kauri trees, this blown glass sculpture is made by joining two separate pieces together while they're still glowing hot on the blowpipe. The piece glitters with fine Japanese silver, gold ruby and gold aventurine frit, black cane, and white powdered glass. Finished with a cut and polished lip. Each piece is unique and will vary.
