Shore Line Bowl

To create this art glass bowl, artist Anne Nye fused layers of frit and sheet glass in multiple firings along with silver foil and special glasses in order to create rich color reactions; bright bits of jewel-glass were then layered in the center. The finished round form was then gently slumped to achieve its poetic form. It sits in a square, welded steel stand.
