Afloat in Amber

Afloat in Amber takes its cue from drifting autumn leaves resting on still woodland water. Finished in a deep amber-gold tone, this solid wood console is layered with foliage in burnished ochre, oxblood, moss, and bronze—partially painted, partially sculpted in relief, so the leaves seem to float across the surface as shadow and depth shift through the day. Elegant turned legs, a softly curved apron, and a narrow silhouette give it a timeless presence, while the dimensional surface treatment marks it as distinctly artist-made.
